The winner of the 2003 Idols contest is back with a sound that reflects her ongoing journey of discovery as an artist. Titled , LIMBO the album is the follow-up to which was released in 2004 and her debut single, 2003's “Silver Lining ”. Anke's new album is a mix of ballads, modern country and commercial pop - this time in both English and Afrikaans. Anke herself says her new offering differs from her debut album. “All of the songs reflect what has happened in my life during this past three years. It is who I am now.”

Speaking about the mix of languages on LIMBO Anke says: “I love singing in Afrikaans. It's my mother language”. Production and some of the arrangements come courtesy of the highly-regarded producer, Marius Brouwer. Songwriting on LIMBO is drawn from a fantastic list of contemporary South African composers. Among these are Liza Beekman, "Baby Ek Kry Jou Daar", Ewald Coleske "Stay If You Will", Marius Brouwer "Mis Jy My Nog 'n Bietjie", and Joe Niemand who contributes "Plaastroue", "Ek Sal Altyd by Jou Bly", and "As Jy Wil".

The title track "Limbo" was originally written by Pam Tillis and Karen Stanley with Marius Brouwer writing the Afrikaans lyrics on this sure-fie hit! As a real bonus to long time fans, LIMBO also features the song that put Anke on the Idols map, Sarah McLachlan's "Angel"

Its been a long time coming, but there's every indication that LIMBO will put Anke right back on top...
